Record types
A COA reports results for a defined record or batch. A specification describes expected criteria. A storage note records handling conditions. A source file should remain linked to any summary.
Traceability language
Lot, batch, document number, revision, and issue date are identifiers used to connect records. They should be matched exactly rather than inferred.
Neutral review outcomes
Use terms such as reviewed, clarification requested, mismatch identified, or held pending documentation. Avoid turning record terminology into health or outcome claims.
